Every day our skin is confronted with pollution, cold, smoke, sun, heat, and other external aggressions which accelerate its aging, hence the need to have a daily care routine to protect it. ! Here are the steps for a successful ritual to maintain beautiful, healthy skin all year round:

1. CLEAN YOUR SKIN

You may be thinking that your skin is not “dirty” in the morning because you slept in a clean bed? However, cleansing your skin when you wake up is essential because at night, the skin works and releases excess sebum, which is why it tends to be oilier in the morning. There are different types of cleansers adapted to your skin type (dry, oily, combination, mature) and in the form of lotions, foams or gels, depending on your preferences.

2. TONE

This step is often neglected but it is important to use a skin toner in order to truly purify it and tighten the pores. This also serves to rebalance its PH in order to optimally prepare it to receive moisturizing treatment. Know that there are two-in-one cleansers and toners to save you time.

3. HYDRATE

Once the skin has been cleansed and toned, it is imperative to moisturize it, ideally with a serum then a moisturizing cream. The serum is a product very concentrated in active ingredients, with a more fluid texture than a cream, which is especially useful if your skin is very dehydrated, dull, without radiance, or if you have spots, scars or acne. . It does not replace the day cream which will hydrate your skin for the day. As with cleansers, there are different creams suitable for your skin type. From the age of twenty-five or thirty, you can also use an anti-aging cream.

4. PROTECT

We don’t often think about it, but the sun is the skin’s worst enemy! Summer and winter, even if you don’t see them, its UV rays attack the skin and cause premature aging. So remember to protect yourself with sunscreen with an index of 30 for the city and 50 for the beach. Plus, you’ll have a holiday scent all year round!

5. MAKE UP

This final step is optional of course, for those who prefer natural. Once you have treated your skin well, you are free to apply foundation, blush, eye shadow, pencil, mascara and lipstick!

6. CLEAN

Before you go to bed, do it again! After a long day in the outside world, your skin has accumulated all the dust and impurities that can be found and it is essential to clean it, especially if you have worn makeup!

7. HYDRATE

Same thing as in the morning, it’s time to apply your serum then your night cream this time! Know that it is at night that the skin regenerates so it is essential to hydrate it well before sleeping.

8. EXFOLIATE

Two to three times a week, we should all exfoliate our skin to rid it of excess sebum and dead cells in order to facilitate its regeneration. There are different types of exfoliants: with micro-beads, salt, sugar or pearls. Exfoliation of the skin is always carried out after cleansing and before moisturizing.

9. MAKE A REMOVING MASK

Once a week, for example on Sunday when you have more time, consider doing a scrubbing mask to deeply purify your skin by eliminating all impurities, dead skin, as well as blackheads. There are some very good, safe green clay masks that you leave on for about fifteen minutes (until it dries and you look like Shrek!) before rinsing. Apply the mask after cleansing your skin and never forget to moisturize it well afterwards.
