The focus in this specialty is to determine gynaecological and obstetric problems of women, then perform physical therapy evaluation and design a plan of treatment (physical therapy)
It deals with conditions such as:
– Diastasis recti
– pelvic pain
– pelvic girdle pain
– problems during pregnancy and postpartum
– breast and gynecologic cancer
– osteoporosis in females
It also aims to educate women about the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy and prepare them for getting pregnant through antenatal care classes
